Summer 2014

John A. Girotto, MD

Join us in Providence!

This year's meeting is upon us and I couldn't be more proud of the content. The science is exceptional - offered in concurrent breakout sessions - but so are the clinical panels and "tips and tricks." Our theme is The Plastic Surgery Menagerie. We truly do cover a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical areas in each practice, so our content this year aims to reflect that reality. I can't thank program chair Dr. Jeff Gusenoff and vice chair Dr. Joe Dayan enough for their hard work. MOC courses are again available.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I hope the end of this summer finds you all doing well and I also hope that you plan to attend our 2014 annual meeting in Providence, Rhode Island. This setting should prove to be an enjoyable deviation from our usual meeting locations and will be sure to provide a slightly different backdrop, as well as a rich extracurricular experience. You will also note significant changes to the annual meeting program, which has been enhanced and revised to reflect the interests and diversity of our membership.

NESPS Bylaws Amendment

This is notice from the NESPS Board of Directors at the recommendation of the Bylaws Committee to update the Life Membership criteria to allow for an existing Active member serving an appointed position to fulfill the term of that appointment upon advancement to Life Membership.

C. Rights and Privileges
Life Members shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of Membership in the Society, except they shall not pay dues or assessments and shall not hold run for office or serve on committees, but may complete their term for an elected position. They retain the privilege of voting. Life Members shall pay registration fees and social fees for any meeting they choose to attend.

A special meeting, via electronic ballot will be sent to your email address at the end of September for your vote to approve or decline this amendment. Please direct any questions to the Bylaws Committee.
