Active Members shall have successfully completed a plastic surgery residency program approved by the Residency Review Committee for Plastic Surgery (or its Canadian equivalent). Annual Dues: $200
Associate Members shall be individuals of high moral, ethical and professional competence; shall be actively engaged in the practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery or other medical specialty, profession, scientific, or para-medical field which is directly related to plastic and reconstructive surgery. There shall be no citizenship or geographic requirement to become an Associate Member. Annual Dues: $135
Candidate Members shall have successfully completed a plastic surgery residency program approved by the Residency Review Committee for Plastic Surgery (or its Canadian equivalent). The Candidate must be in active practice or in a fellowship program located within the Northeastern Region. The Candidate must provide a letter of unrestricted hospital privileges to practice “plastic and reconstructive surgery” from one of the hospitals in which the plastic surgeon practices. If the surgeon is presently within a fellowship program, a letter should be received from the fellowship coordinator stating this. Candidates should provide a copy of an unrestricted medical license from the state in which the hospital letter is received. Annual Dues: $200
Resident Affiliates shall have entered into residency training in one of the approved residency training programs in Plastic Surgery within the Northeast Region of the United States. An individual may remain a Resident Affiliate until he or she is no longer a resident in an approved Residency Program. Resident Affiliates do not pay annual dues (application fee is $25).
With a written request, Life Membership shall be conferred upon Active Members of the Society who have retired from the active practice of plastic surgery. Life Membership may also be conferred by the Board of Directors at its discretion upon Active Members who have become totally disabled and are unable to practice plastic surgery, or who are no longer practicing in the Northeastern Region and who have been Active Members for at least five (5) years.
